Scam emails and phone calls are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and scammers may pretend to be trusted companies to gain access to your personal or financial information. A little caution can go a long way in protecting yourself.
Keep these tips in mind:
- Stop and consider before you click. Be cautious of unexpected emails containing links or requests for personal information, banking details, or credit card information. Never click a link unless you’re confident it’s legitimate.
- Be cautious of payment requests. Axle Telecom will never contact you by email to ask you to provide payment information or make a payment through a link in an email. If you receive a request like this, do not click the link or provide your information.
- Verify before you trust. Scammers can make emails and phone calls look or sound legitimate, and caller ID can be misleading. If a request seems unusual or something doesn’t feel right, hang up or stop responding and contact Axle Telecom directly using a trusted phone number to verify it.
When in doubt, don’t click, don’t share, and don’t pay. Verify first.
